As of this post, I’m still waiting for my NBN connection. Setting up for a match of LoL involves shutting down all of my other devices, unplugging backup servers and rebooting my ADSL router, hoping for a faster sync. Yes I’m living like it is 1990 again when I had to ensure my parents were not going to use the phone whilst I downloaded whatever I was trying to get from the archaic dial-up connection we owned.

For the lucky eSports players who have won the lottery and got a great NBN connection (we know there are some very poor ones out there) they are finally on a level playing field with competitors from other countries.
